The motherboard is not wireless capable, hence the PCI wireless card. What they supposedly do, especially if you are on satellite, such as Hughesnet, is split your speed between two channels since your router and modem are interconnected and can electronically alter your speeds of connection times.Supposedly, WiFi Blast, can combine the split channels to increase your connection times for online browsing and speed up your internet.Im skeptical of the WiFi Blast product because all it seems to do from the reports that I read, is boost your WiFi range, not increase your connection times by combining the two channels.
I was curious if anyone has tried the WiFi Blast product and experienced increased connection speeds. So far, the product support page for WiFi Blast claims that they have sold over two million units and counting. That doesnt seem like a lot compared to the U.S. Im just looking for real feedback from anyone using the WiFi Blast product to confirm the authenticity of their claims that the product actually combines the two channels for faster internet connection speeds. ![]() Since the cat is supposedly out of the bag so to speak because of this product, I heard a rumor that throttling internet speeds is going to be a thing of the past because ISPs were busted doing this shady tactic. But, I have Spectrum (used to be Brighthouse) cable and my internet DL speed was automatically increased from 60Mbsec to 100Mbsec at no additonal cost. NVIDIA is disabled and Intel CPU Video used when using recording studio apps due to Latency dropouts. Marble Blast Platinum Upgrade To TheirI had read that all internet service providers throttle your internet speed after the first couple of months in order to get you to upgrade to their next tier of service. My ISPs were Cox, Charter (Spectrum) and now ATT Fiber and all of these have given me the speed I pay for. Yes they can throttle the speed but I have never seen it happen. I pay for 1Gb service and they do offer 300mbs using the same equipment and control the speed with options. I find it hard to believe for a WiFi extender to be able to do that, and that was the part I was interested in if anyone had first hand knowledge of that aspect of the product. I have 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz also and do not know how combining them would work but really dont know. Jim. We are both on the same train, Im just jumping off at a different stop. I have done some slight upgrades over the years (950 to 1060 6GB, PCI wireless card).
